Meet Annie, Your AI Doc Assistant
You told us building workflows was too manual. So we rebuilt that part. Meet Annie.
Our customers were clear about what slowed them down. The setup felt old school: you had to configure every field by hand. And when accuracy was not where you needed it, iterating to improve a workflow was costly and slow.
We listened. Today we deliver. Meet Annie, your AI doc assistant.
You bring the context, Annie does the work
Give Annie everything you already have. The fields you have defined, sample documents, and a plain-language description of what you need. Explain it the way you would to a colleague. Annie takes all of it and works behind the scenes.
It happens in two moves:
-
Annie understands what you need and sets up the workflow. From your context and your description, it builds the operators and the extract schema and gives you a working starting point. No configuring fields one by one.
-
Give Annie ground truth, and it improves itself. Hand it a set of verified documents and Annie runs evals behind the scenes, optimizing the workflow against your data and pushing accuracy up where it matters most: on the documents that are hardest to get right.
In our internal benchmarks, setting up a production workflow drops from about 4 hours of hand assembly to around 5 minutes, with significantly fewer documents left to fix by hand.
You stay in control
Annie does the heavy lifting, but it does not ask you to trust it blindly. Every workflow it proposes comes back for your review: you see the fields it defined, the operators it chose, and you Approve or Reject before anything runs in production. Once the workflow is processing documents, every extracted value is grounded back to its evidence in the source page, so you can always check an answer against the document it came from.
Accuracy without traceability is marketing, not an operational guarantee. Annie pairs that speed with the auditability that lets you put the output in front of finance, compliance, or an auditor.
Built for developers, by developers
Annie lives inside anyformat Studio, so everything you do with it you can also do through the API and the SDK. Prototype a workflow with Annie in Studio, then ship it from code. Get value in an afternoon, without a sales process.
Why Annie
We gave it a name and a personality because building with documents should not feel like configuring a machine. Annie is the part of anyformat that meets you in plain language and does the work. The name is also a small wink at what we do: turn any format into clean, structured data.
Annie is live today.
